Carrot Cake Bliss Balls

Looking for a fun, veggie-packed snack for your child's lunchbox? Our Carrot Cake Bliss Balls are a hit! Made with wholesome ingredients like carrots, dates, and a dash of cinnamon, they’re naturally sweet and delicious. As a pediatric dietitian, I believe in letting kids enjoy veggies for what they are—no sneaking required! Encouraging them to get hands-on in the kitchen is a fantastic way to help them explore new foods and develop a love for healthy eating. Over time, this can lead to greater enjoyment and more adventurous palates!

Ingredients: Makes approx. 10-12 balls

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 large carrots grated
  • 100g cream cheese
  • 4 pitted medjool dates
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Desiccated coconut for coating

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients to a food processor and blitz on high until all ingredients are chopped and mixture starts to come together.

  2. Take tablespoon amounts of mixture and using damp hands, roll into balls.

  3. Roll balls in desiccated coconut to coat.

  4. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours and enjoy!

  • Store in airtight container, refrigerated for up to 1-week
  • Energy packed for a great on the run snack
  • If not adding to school lunches, try adding pecans or walnuts for extra fibre and nutrients
