FAQs
Our insulated food jar uses advanced vacuum wall technology to keep your food at the right
temperature. Here are some tips for the best performance:
For Hot Foods:
1. Preheat the jar by filling it with boiling water for 10 minutes, then empty it.
2. Heat your food until piping hot (hotter than if you were serving it immediately).
3. Quickly transfer the hot food into the preheated jar and secure the lid.
For Cold Foods:
Pre-chill the jar by placing it in the freezer for 10 minutes or filling it with ice water for 10 minutes, then empty it.
Transfer your cold food into the pre-chilled jar and secure the lid.
Important Tips:
The jar works best with wet foods like soups, noodles in sauce, or saucy dishes. Fill it almost to the top to minimise air, which cools the food faster.
Avoid using the jar for solid foods like chicken nuggets or sandwiches as they cool very quickly and become soggy.
Don’t put the lunchbox in the fridge or next to an ice brick when using it for hot foods.
Performance:
Hot:
Keeps food warm for up to 4 hours (up to 5 hours in the lunchbox). Please note this is dependent on following the guidelines above.
Cold:
Keeps food cold for 6 hours (up to 7 hours in the lunchbox).
Consider if this is sufficient to meet the needs of your child

removable.
3. For the insulated food jar, remove the lid and carefully peel off the silicone seal. Wash all parts
in the dishwasher.
4. Reattach the silicone seal by pressing it down and rolling it over the jar’s inner rim.
**Tip:**
Use fragrance-free dishwashing liquids or tablets to avoid leaving a taste on the silicone.
Yes, silicone can stain when exposed to highly coloured foods like pumpkin soup, watermelon, or
tomato. These stains usually fade over time.
Yes, the largest section of our Hero Box is (17.5 cm x 10.5 cm) fits a sandwich cut in half and stacked. Alternatively, if the food jar is removed this section is 12 cm x 11cm and will accomodate smaller sizes of bread or larger with the crusts cut off.
Store your products dry, with the lids off/open, to prevent any food smells from building up.
We've worked hard to create tough, hard wearing products but all products are susceptible to wear and tear. Scratches or dents may occur with use of our stainless steel lunch boxes.
We use the thickest available neoprene (4mm) for lunch bag manufacturing. Whilst we think we've made a great hard wearing wash and wear product, it's not indestructible. Neoprene will tear or rip if caught or pierced with sharp objects or rough surfaces. We will not issues refunds for torn products.
Our updated lunchbox now features two flip-open plastic coloured clasps attached to the lid. These clasps close downwards and provide a simple, easy-to-open mechanism, making the lunchbox suitable for young children aged 3 years and up. We recommend practicing opening and closing the clasps as well as the insulated food jar with your child before first use to ensure they can manage it confidently.
**Tip:** The insulated food jar has an easy locking mechanism but if the handle is pumped up and
down multiple times it may create a vacuum. If the lid becomes vacuum-sealed, place the jar in
cold water for a few minutes to break the seal.
Use vinyl stickers directly on the outer surface of the lunchbox or food jar.

Our lunchboxes are crafted from high-grade 304 food-safe stainless steel and have been independently tested to meet FDA food safety standards. We use 100% pure silicone, also independently tested and LFGB certified—the highest standard for food-safe silicone products.
Silicone can absorb odors from scented dishwashing liquids or tablets. To prevent this, we recommend using fragrance-free dishwashing liquids or tablets, often labeled as "eco products" and available at most supermarkets. If your silicone products develop a soapy smell or taste, try one of the following deep cleaning methods:
How to remove smells from silicone:
1. Vinegar + Baking Soda Soak
- Mix equal parts hot water and vinegar in a sink or bowl.
- Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda (it should fizz).
- Let the silicone soak for a few hours or overnight.
- Rinse and dry. Repeat if needed.
2. Boil in Water + Vinegar - Fill a pot with 3/4 water and 1/4 vinegar (enough to cover the silicone).
- Boil for 10-15 minutes, then rinse and dry.
